Resizing Images
Units: Pixels or percentage
Width and Height: Enter dimensions in pixels or percentages depending on the Unit selection above.
Constrain Proportions: This maintains the ratio of width to height that the original image size had, to prevent an image from looking distorted in proportion after being resized.
Interpolation Type: This is a technical term for how the actual resizing is done mathematically. The default is usually fine.
Radio Box for entire image or selected layer: Select whether the entire image (all layers) should be resized or just the selected layer. The default option is the entire image. Note: The selected layer option will result in the canvas size remaining unchanged.
Resizing images by click dragging method:
Click and drag a resize handle (see below). Once resized, if you want the canvas to fit to the new image / layer size, click the
Fit Canvas Button.

Rotating an Image

Angle: Enter the angle to rotate the image by, in degrees.
Left / Right radio box: Select whether to rotate the image left or right.
Entire Image / Selected Layer radio box: Select whether to rotate the entire image or just the selected layer. Note: If you rotate the selected layer, the canvas will not rotate, so it may not fit the image properly. Click the
Fit Canvas Button to make the canvas fit the current layers if this occurs.
Adding a crop selection
Cropping an image allows you to take a snapshot of a selection of an image, and deleting everything around that selection, leaving you with the snapshot area.
To perform a crop:
Click
to add a new crop selection.
A red resizable square will appear on the canvas - resize it using the handles on on the edges of it and move the crop selection over the desired area of the image which you want to crop (or take a snaphot of)
Click
to perform the cropping of the area, or click the
crop tool again to cancel the crop.
